- NOTES AND LATE ADDITIONS TO WORDWORTH
-
- 7 November 1992 - V2.0
-
-
-
-
- DIGITA COLORFONT
- ----------------
-
- In the Fonts drawer on the Dict disk is a Digita ColorFont called
- DigitaMetal. This can be used on floppy disk by changing the FONTS
- tooltype to FONTS=Dict:fonts. If using a hard disk, the font is
- installed in the hard disk's system FONTS: drawer during the
- installation process.
-
-
- TOOLTYPES
- ---------
-
- Wordworth 2.0 provides the following Tool Types. These are set by
- clicking on the Ww program icon and choosing Info (or Information)
- from the Workbench menus. The requester allows you to add or delete
- Tool Types. Tool Types surrounded in brackets are disabled, to enable
- them click them, and delete the brackets.
-
- These Tool Types are supported:-
-
- DOCS=pathname eg. DOCS=MyDocsDisk:Docs
-
- This tells Wordworth where to look for Documents by default (instead
- of looking in the Wordworth drawer)
-
- CLIPART=pathname eg. CLIPART=Work:Wordworth2/DigitaClipArt
-
- This tells Wordworth where to look for Clip art & pictures by default
- (instead of looking in the Wordworth drawer)
-
- FONTS=pathname eg. FONTS=Dict:fonts
-
- This tells Wordworth where to look for Amiga & printer fonts by
- default
- (instead of looking in the FONTS: drawer)
-
- AGFAFONTS=pathname eg. AGFAFONTS=CGFonts:
-
- This tells Wordworth where to look for AGFA Intellifont outline fonts
- by default (instead of looking in the Intellifont drawer)
-
- Due to fundamental differences in the way Workbench 2 stores its AGFA
- outline fonts in the fonts: drawer you cannot direct AGFAFONTS
- to look in the fonts: drawer. However you can direct it to share the
- fonts used by other Amiga applications which use AGFA Compugraphic
- Intellifont fonts in the same manner as Wordworth, such as
- PageStream.
-
- (Note that the way in which Wordworth uses AGFA fonts, is in the
- manner recommended by AGFA. This uses several files in the fonts drawer
- including if.fnt & if.dsc which contain the list of available fonts,
- plugin.tyq, and the actual .type font files. If the fonts used by
- another application do not work correctly with Wordworth, the problem
- most probably lies with the other application, and the non-standard
- way in which its producer has implemented Intellifont technology in
- the application).
-
-
- When entering Tool Types the name should be in capitals and
- there should be no spaces between it and the = and no spaces between
- the = and the following parameter. See the Workbench manuals for
- more information about Tool Types.
